Plan to attend the Big Horn Basin Football Camp

Time to get those young men ready for next football season with the 28th annual Big Horn Basin Football Camp in Thermopolis, June 26-28.

The camp will be held at LeRoy Hayes Field and will include individual drills and techniques, 7 on 7 competition, swimming, mini golf and a whitewater rafting opportunity.

Staff for the camp will include head coach John Reiners from Black Hills State along with his linebacker coach and defensive line coach, Quinn Brown from William and Jewel University in Kansas City, Shand LaDage from Minot State and Dylan Reiners, the wide receiver for Black Hills State.

Other coaches will come from Skyline High School in Longmont, Colo., Vista Ridge High School in Colorado Springs, Colo., and coaches from Sundance, Riverton, Douglas, Green River, Sheridan, Natrona and Powell.

According to coordinator Heath Hayes, they already have players coming from South Dakota, Forsyth, Mont., Longmont, Worland, Lander, Riverton, Powell and Rock Springs.

Costs for grades 5-12 will be $70 for the camp only and $105 with the whitewater rafting trip. Drillers, the K-4 players, will be $35. Rafting is not available for the little Drillers.

Registration will be in the high school commons on Monday, June 26 from 9 – 11:30 a.m.
