Motorcycle riders attend course

This weekend saw 10 riders attend a Basic Rider Course (BRC), provided at the Wyoming Department of Transportation parking lot.

TheBRC was developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, and is designed for those who have little or no riding experience, although most experienced riders will also benefit from the course. It has approximately 20 hours of instruction, both in the classroom and on-cycle. Courses started on Friday evening, and continued until Sunday afternoon.

Successful completion of this course will allow a waiver of all testing requirements for a Class M endorsement, provided completion card is presented to a Wyoming drivers services within two years of the course date.

The course was the first one offered in Thermopolis, though another is scheduled for Sept. 29. A full schedule of courses across Wyoming is available online at http://www.dot.state.wy.us/home.html, under the Motorcycle Safety tab.
