Get out and enjoy a busy May

The month of May is nearly upon us and with it comes a lot of activities that will keep both parents and students very busy.

Actually, it can keep everyone busy, between all the fabulous school concerts on tap, prom, the district track meet, graduation and everything else, it may seem a bit overwhelming at times.

Some of the planning going on goes all the way through summer. For example, don’t forget to attend the public meeting regarding the solar eclipse on Monday night at 6 p.m. in the middle school commons.

A big night at the middle school will be on Tuesday night with a band and choir concert in conjunction with Power Parent Night. Students will be having a “wax museum” that evening, too, which is sure to be fun.

The Bobcats are hosting the Regional Track Meet here May 12 and 13. Come relax in the stands and watch this amazing, record-breaking team in action.

There will be a plant and craft sale at the library on Saturday and the TMS book fair will be held all next week.

A much anticipated rite of spring will be prom next Saturday. Everyone is invited to come see the couples in all their finery at the Grand March in the auditorium starting at 7:30 p.m.

And then there’s graduation. With awards night, Baccalaureate and the pomp and circumstance of the actual graduation, you might meet yourself coming back.

Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather and all the activities on tap!
