Your source for news in Hot Springs County
You have just two evenings left, Thursday and Friday, to catch the Hot Springs County High School Drama Club’s spring production, the “Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” in the auditorium, beginning at 7 p.m.
Written by Dan Zolidis, the show features two narrators and a group of actors attempting to present all 209 Grimm Brothers tales as they were originally meant to be – as one long story.
Buckle up for a hilarious ride through well-known stories such as “Snow White” and “Hansel and Gretel”, and lesser-known stories like “The Devil’s Grandmother” and “Girl Without Hands.”
“The students have put their all into this production,” Drama Club coach Mary McGillivray said. “This show requires many of the students to portray multiple characters. This is a challenging skill because each character needs to have their own mannerisms and style of speaking.”
Cast and crew for the spring production include: Chauncey Morris, Tyler Kay, Breeze Petty, Katie Burrows, Danielle Randolph, Krynn McGinty, Aaron Hanson, Ashley Brawley, Ryan Slagle, Aime Robinson, Naomi Bishop, Mikayla Lanik, Hunter Kessler, Deanna Owings, Emily Anderson, Ben Manning, Stormy Cox, Hannah Hu, Larissa Peters, Darian Macie, Savana Meier, Allie Burton and Dakota Prosser.
The performances are free, however, donations are accepted and much appreciated at the door.
The donations help with student costumes, props and set pieces for their performances and contribute to the State Drama Competition in the winter.
