WDC ground breaking Saturday

New plans are starting to take shape and the Wyoming Dinosaur Center would like to invite everyone to the formal ground breaking for their new facility.

The event will be at the Red Rock Business Park, 288 US Hwy. 20, at 11 a.m. on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22.

Following the groundbreaking, a casual luncheon will be held at Thermopolis Middle School.

After lunch, the Center will hold a workshop to present to the community the vision for the new Wyoming Dinosaur Center, including discussion of new trends in interpretive and sustainable design that are planned for the new facility.

Two of the project architects will lead the workshop and will be seeking the community’s input from those in attendance.

The workshop will begin at 1 p.m. at the middle school and is expected to last about three hours.

A follow-up report by the architects will be held at the middle school on Saturday, starting at 2 p.m.

The ground breaking, luncheon and presentation are all free and open to the public.
