Spring a New Leaf 5k Saturday

It’s been a while since you made that New Year’s resolution, but honestly, its been cold and snowy and rainy, so you haven’t felt much like getting out and doing something about it.

Well, its out with the old and in with the new at the Spring a New Leaf 5K run, walk and roll this Saturday in Hot Springs State Park.

Leave the couch life behind and spring a new leaf for Easter!

There is a $10 entry fee and registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the race kicking off at 8 a.m. There will also be a free kid’s one-mile Fun Run that starts at 8:45 a.m.

Registration and the race will be in Hot Springs State Park, but a pancake breakfast will be served at The Shop in the former Reda Pump building on Hwy. 20 South after the race at 9 a.m.

All proceeds and donations will go to purchasing exercise equipment for The Shop.
