Vialpando bound over on additional charges

Monday in Hot Springs Circuit Court Lola Vialpando was bound over to Fifth Judicial District Court on charges including seven counts of forgery and three counts of theft.

The charges allege Vialpando altered bank statements at her former employer between Jan. 29 and July 29 of 2016, and also altered account statements to omit certain transactions. Charges further allege she used company issued credit cards to make over 300 online and local purchases totaling almost $19,000

In addition to the charges on which she was bound over Monday, Vialpando faces 10 counts of felony forgery, two counts of felony theft and one count of felony larceny. According to those charges, she allegedly forged checks between January and August of last year and facilitated online and mobile transfers of money from her employer to satisfy personal debts.

In total, Vialpando’s alleged actions resulted in a loss of over $250,000 to the company. A specific date for her trial has not been set.
