Doak recognized for service

Joe Doak was presented a Distinguished Service award from the Wyoming High School Activities Association and Wyoming Sports Officials Association for 40 years of service as a football and basketball official.

The presentation took place during half time of the girls 1A Regional Championship game between Little Snake River and at Farson-Eden at the 1A Boys and Girls Regional Basketball Tournament held in Lander Feb. 23-25.

During his forty years of officiating he has officiated 26 state football playoffs, including the 3A State Championship game in 2011, 25 district and five State Basketball Tournaments, including the 2A Girls Championship game in 1986.

Doak was also selected to officiate three Montana-Wyoming All Star Basketball games. He is a member of the Bobcat Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2010.
