Marcial "Scott" Martinez, 41, passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017.
Scott was born on Sept. 8, 1975, to Mikki and Vidal "Marty" Martinez. Scott was a very loving, kind person. He never met a stranger. He could make friends very fast. A lover of music he taught piano and gave voice lessons. He worked as a medical transcriptionist, at Finishing Touches, and, for a while, as a landscaper. He loved camping and fishing with his family in the Big Horn Mountains. Scott had a soft spot in his heart for kids and would always try to help the outcast and less fortunate.
Scott is survived by his mother, Mikki, of Thermopolis; younger brother, John Martinez of Thermopolis; aunts, Carol Sheets of Thermopolis and Lanette Carter of Powell, Wyo.; uncle, Larry Carter of Powell, Wyo.; cousins, Brandi Gard of Riverton, Wyo., and Jolene Sheets of Billings, Mont.; nieces and nephews, Travis Tyrell of Thermopolis, Tabby Tyrell of Cody, Wyo., Rowdy Gard and Leena Gard, both of Riverton, Wyo., Hayden Sessions Sovey of Gillette, Wyo., Randy Carter of Powell, Wyo., and Cameron Kellogg-Cabarett of Worland, Wyo.
He is preceded in death by father, Vidal "Marty" Martinez; gradfather, Newel Sessions; grandmother, Daisy Sessions, cousins, Candy Sovey and Veronica Mangus; and second cousin, Felicity Siraki.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. at Federated Community Church with Pastor Chuck Cooper officiating.
