HSC Democrats to elect officers

The next meeting of the Hot Springs Democratic Committee will be held on Wednesday, March 1 at 6 p.m. in the county annex. In addition to the regular discussion of issues of importance to members and residents of Hot Springs County, the agenda for this meeting includes election of officers and a review of the organization’s by-laws.

Aimee Van Cleave, Executive Director of the Wyoming Democratic Party, is scheduled to be in attendance to review the Democratic Party Central Committee meeting that took place on February 18 in Laramie. She will talk about the input that the Democratic members of the legislature have had and how they have worked with members in both houses on the budget and on bills from education to choice to public lands and the economy. She will also report on the Woman’s Caucus and Progressive Caucus that are currently being organized on a statewide basis.

Several candidates for chair of the Wyoming Democratic Party are expected to be at the meeting to introduce themselves and to share their experiences in helping to grow the Democratic Party in Wyoming. This is a unique opportunity for Hot Springs County Democrats.

The County Annex is located at 117 North 4th Street. For more information, contact Howie Samelson at (207) 840-6742.
