Agar positive at legislature

The 2017 Wyoming Legislative Session is in full swing, and Senate District 20 representative Wyatt Agar is keeping upbeat about things.

Agar stated he’s working at learning the system with in the Senate chamber. “The balance of knowledge and fresh enthusiasm in the chamber has been fun and interesting. At this point in time we are mainly looking at bills that have came out of committee's during the interim. So they are generally speaking clean up type legislation.”

He further noted Leland Christensen and Ogden Driskill sit directly behind him, and they have a lot of knowledge of the process and are always available if I have a question, which he appreciates greatly. Both bills came out of committee's — SF 43 regarding alcoholic beverages revisions and SF 40 regarding military department recordkeeping.

Agar pointed out he is the only freshmen to manage two bills on the floor, which has been very beneficial to his experience.

Agar further added there are some things currently on is radar, but declined to speak with them until they get closer. He noted he continues “to work to peal back and lighten the regulatory burden on individuals and small businesses.”
