As of Dec. 1, Rocking Arrow Tire became Wyoming Fleet and Service Repair.
Senior Technician Nate Myers explained former owner Cody Hensley offered the business up for sale, and he went into the venture with a former boss, John Kissel. He further added Kissel actually owns the business, while Myers gets shares.
Myers said he probably won’t get into working on semis, but he’s certainly up for trying anything else. As for rates, he noted he’s pretty much on line with what they were previously. “In a small town, you can’t get too wild. I’ve got to stay competitive with a lot of guys right now.”
Business has remained busy since the sale, Myers said, and while the possibility of expansion has been talked about a little there are no real plans primarily due to weather.
Myers has been doing mechanic work for about 15 years. He graduated college in 1996, then went to work at Fremont Motors in Sheridan. He was on a drilling rig for a time, but returned to Sheridan and worked at Wyoming Fleet and Auto. For the past couple years, he’s been with Roadrunner.
The building will be undergoing some changes as well. Renovations in the front office are nearly complete, and when finished it will house some computer equipment to get it out of the way.
