Ducks Unlimited retreat planned in Thermopolis

Ducks Unlimited of Wyoming invites members and supporters to the annual Winter Retreat, hosted in Thermopolis Jan. 13-15 at the Days Inn.

The retreat provides attendees an opportunity to meet state Ducks Unlimited committee members and supporters.

Though the hotel will be headquarters, the retreat allows plenty of time for hunting. Friday hunting will be on your own, though hunters should be back at headquarters by 5 p.m. as Wyoming Ducks Unlimited will have snacks for happy hour and an off-site group dinner.

Saturday morning there will be an organized hunt, with prizes through the Poker Hunt. There will also be an ocean lake tour, with the caravan leaving at 12:45 p.m. The banquet dinner begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, along with several raffles and a conservation update from Ducks Unlimited staff.

Sunday, the last day of duck season is open for hunting. There is also a State Committee meeting, open to all, and additional training upon request.

Costs for attending the retreat are $50 for singles and $90 for a couple. This does not include room price. Those who wish to bring children can contact Robert Hathaway at (307) 221-2061 about pricing and food options. All attendees are responsible for shells, licenses, fuel and other assorted transportation costs.

Ducks Unlimited State Chair stated, “I look forward to meeting and getting a chance to talk with each of you in Thermopolis.”
