Last year, the program provided around 100 boxes of food to families in need throughout the community with the help of volunteers, organizations and businesses in Thermopolis. The Christmas Basket Program started in 1982 at NOWCAP, moved to the Elks, then onto the Episcopal Church. Business status and auditing are provided by the Episcopal Church. Christmas Baskets is a nondenominational program that serves anyone in need of the food and has people from the whole community who volunteer to help with the set up and distribution.
