Community effort

Community members packed into the VFW Saturday evening for the dinner and auction which raised over $22,000 to benefit Shannon Myers. One of the many highlights of the night was when a saw, hand painted by Cindy Clancy, was purchased by Joe Arnold for $1,025. He donated the saw back to be auctioned off again. Karen Sinclair of Thermopolis Hardware purchased the saw, paying $1,000, and then gave it to Arnold. Showing off the saw is Kaylee Buckner with auctioneers John Holm and John Gerrells in the background who donate their services for community fundraisers on a regular basis. The quilt hanging in the background was made by Marilyn Vass, purchased by Rob and Monica Bucker and then given to Shannon.
