Donna Marie Hunter, 64, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at her residence in Thermopolis.
She was born December 4, 1951, in Hutchison, Kan., the daughter of James and Ruth (Ott) VanRiper.
Most of her life was spent in Arvada and Lakewood, Colo. She worked as an office manager, the last being Curves. She enjoyed horseback riding, cooking and camping. Also creative, she made dollhouses and miniature glass figurines. A strong woman, she fought for everything she loved.
On September 20, 1997, she married Arthur Hunter in Lakewood, Colo., and upon his retirement the couple moved to Thermopolis where they enjoyed the great outdoors.
She is survived by his and her children, Nevetta Hunter of Genessee, Idaho, Trudy (Jerry) VanRiper of Brighton, Colo., Sam (Courtney) Hunter of Lakewood, Colo., and Jacob Ryan of Arvada, Colo .; grandchildren, George and DeSelvia McDaniel and Brittany, Cassidy and Abigail Van Riper; and siblings, Jim VanRiper and Beverly Dillay.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years in 2016; her brother; and parents.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at her home in Thermopolis. Memorials may be made to the Wedding of the Waters Chapter of Pheasants Forever.
