Three performances set for fall drama showcase

The Hot Springs County Drama Club will be presenting their Fall Showcase with performances Nov. 15, 17 and 18 in the school auditorium.

The Fall Showcase features everything the students have been doing in preparation for the State Drama Competition in Laramie in December.

You will be able to view their set designs, solo and duet scenes as well as the one act play “I Never Saw Another Butterfly,” about a young girl sent to a ghetto during the holocaust and how she survived and grew through the friendships she made while there.

Students have been researching different areas of theatre, from set design, publicity, musical theatre and script writing to prepare for the showcase and state competition.

Performances start at 7 p.m. each evening and are free, however, donations are kindly accepted to help the students with their trip to the state competition.
