Amendment A, judges on Nov. 8 ballot

Currently, Wyoming’s funds are split into two areas – permanent funds and non-permanent funds. The Wyoming Constitution allows permanent funds to be invested in equities.

Amendment A would allow the legislature to invest the non-permanent funds in the stock market as well, as long as there is a two-thirds approval vote in both chambers of the legislature.

Judges up for retention

Three Wyoming Supreme Court Justices and one Fifth District Court Judge are up for retention votes on Tuesday.

Justice Catherine M. Fox was appointed to the Supreme Court in November, 2013; Justice William U. Hill was appointed in November, 1988 and Justice Keith G. Kautz was appointed in 2015.

Justice Robert E. Skar was appointed to the Fifth District Court, serving Washakie and Hot Springs County in August of 2008.
