Scouting for food bags go out Saturday

Bags will be put out on Saturday, Nov. 5 for the community food drive to benefit the Community Food Bank and the Christmas Basket program.

Place your food donations in a bag by your front door for pick up on Saturday, Nov. 12 by the Scouts, 4-H members and high school students.

Donations of nonperishable food items, such as canned and dry foods, should be placed in the bags so the volunteers may pick them up between 8 a.m. and noon on Nov. 12.

If your donation is not picked up or if you will be out of town that day, you may leave your bag in the entry at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 642 Arapahoe, or call 864-3629 to make arrangements for the food to be picked up another day.

Please, no perishable or home canned products.

The food collected will be distributed to local families in need.
