Mervyn 'Gene' Beck

Mervyn E. "Gene" Beck, 89, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away August 16, 2016.

Gene retired from Farm Equipment Sales and Farm Management after 45 years of employment. Gene served in WWll with the U.S. Transport Service and Merchant Marines.

Born in Washington, Pa., he lived most of his life in south Florida where he married Sara Altman in 1949. He lived in Thermopolis, Wyo., in 1997 before moving to Arizona. Gene and Sara had five children, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  

He is survived by his wife, Sara; sons, David (Debbie) of Asheville, N.C. and Steven (Sharon) of Boynton Beach, Fla.; daughters, Susan (Kevin) Blair-Smith of Thermopolis, Wyo. and Tammy (Mark) Jackson of Mesa, Ariz.

Gene was preceded in death by his mother; father; brother; sister; son Daniel; and son-in-law Donald Blair.
