Everett Eugene Andreen, 80, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.
One of 13 children, he was the son of Frank and Lucille (Gifford) Andreen and was born May 23, 1936, in old Thermopolis. In the early 1950s he served in the U.S. Army for three years. Returning to Thermopolis, Everett worked for farmers in Thermopolis and Meeteetse. He later became a railroad track inspector for Burlington Northern, retiring after 29 years.
On June 8, 1960, Everett married Janice Elaine Todd in Worland, Wyo., who later passed away in 1995. In retirement he enjoyed exercising and was king at TOPS. He also enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles and going for drives.
On June 16, 2006, he married Dee Goolsby in Sturgis, S.D. The couple made their home in Guernsey, Wyo. In Guernsey, he was a member of the American Legion. Everett and Dee enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Dee of Guernsey; daughters, Shari Beck, Penny Granger, both of Thermopolis, Robin (Bob) Trembath of Worland and stepdaughter, Cindy (Ricky) Goolsby of Gillett, Wis., grandchildren, Leo (Debbie), LonTyler, Autumn, Charity, Rusty, Roberta, Matt (Christine) Kerena, Dalton, Dailin and Sylar; siblings, Marvin, Martin and Kenny Andreen, Tina Kruse, Gloria Franzen, Elaine Gearhart and Margaret Lauer; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; son, Tod; brothers, Harold, Harry, Oscar, Bill and sister, Dorothy.
Graveside services at Riverside Cemetery will be Friday, August 26, 2016, at 2 p.m. Viewing will be from 10 a.m.-noon Friday at Mortimore Funeral Home
