On Tuesday, Aug. 16 those who have a sense for entrepreneurship can take it to the next level at Hot Springs County Library during a workshop about starting a business.
Those who have thought about starting a business, but weren’t sure where to begin, or who are looking to get some supplemental income are encouraged to attend. Presenters will include Amy Lea with the Small Business Administration (SBA), Bruce Morse with the Wyoming Small Business Development Center Network and David Hill with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services.
In May, the SBA and AARP entered into an alliance to provide Americans over the age of 50 with real-world information needed to start and grow a small business. For many 50-plus individuals, entrepreneurship training is the toolkit that empowers them to use experience, knowledge and skills to become creators. Additionally, entrepreneurial training focuses on helping experienced professionals leverage their career knowledge for a new business.
The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m-1:30 p.m. at the library, though presenters will also be available for one-on-one meetings. The Friends of the Library will provide a light lunch. Call the library at 864-3104 to RSVP and to be included in the lunch count.
