1:07 p.m. Request for a tow truck at mile marker 20 on Highway 120, for a motorist whose vehicle would not start.
4:55 p.m. A call was received concerning people who were floating the river. Subjects were stranded on the railroad tracks in the canyon, and were rescued by Search and Rescue.
Sunday, July 31
8:05 p.m. Report of a stolen truck. The vehicle was recovered the next day by the owner.
Monday, August 1
3:09 p.m. REDDI call regarding a vehicle at mile marker 127 on Highway 20. A deputy was out of position to respond to the call.
5:09 p.m. Report of a truck on the side of the road at Highway 175 and Highway 20. When contacted the driver said he had already contacted assistance.
10:39 p.m. Call about a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road in the area of Buffalo Creek and South Yellowstone. A deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.

Tuesday, July 26
11:49 a.m. Subject called to report stolen prescription pills. A suspect was contacted, but denied having the medication, and a consented search turned up nothing.
1:19 p.m. Someone took a cat trap set out for feral animals and threw it in a dumpster.
1:30 p.m. Subject reported receiving unsolicited calls, and was shown how to block such numbers.
1:42 p.m. Report of gunshots or fireworks. Responding officer was unable to find the origin of the noise.
7:22 p.m. A subject was arguing with two others, one of whom wound up going to the hospital. Jeremy Smith was arrested for alleged assault.
Wednesday, July 27
1:42 a.m. A found iPod was returned to its owner.
8:24 a.m. An orange male cat was caught on Chevy Chase. The cat appeared feral, and was turned over to the vet clinic.
12:25 p.m. Caller reported receiving harassing texts, and was shown how to block the number.
9:25 p.m. A subject found a driver’s license and turned it in. The license owner said he had lost it two years ago and already replaced it.
10:40 p.m. Caller reported hearing loud noises in the 900 block of Shoshoni. Officer could not hear any noise and was unable to locate the source.
Thursday, July 28
11:07 a.m. Officer responded to a fight in the alley of the 700 block of Mondell. A subject was hit in the head. Assailant Chellidy Luers was cited.
11:15 a.m. Report of a lost wallet.
5:18 p.m. Caller reported theft of cash from a house by a relative. The caller was not pressing charges.
Friday, July 29
7:22 a.m. Report of a truck and a car speeding through the state park. An officer made contact with the drivers, who were younger subjects, cautioned them and let their parents handle the issue.
9:08 a.m. Report of two dogs at large. The owner captured them prior to the officer arriving.
9:39 a.m. Report of a missing dog, which was later found by the owner.
10:13 a.m. Caller reported a vehicle was following them. An officer was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
1:24 p.m. Accident in a parking lot in the 500 block of Shoshoni. A vehicle struck a light pole, knocking a light down and damaging others.
2:55 p.m. Report of subject arguing over a camping trailer. The incident was deemed civil in nature.
7:01 p.m. Kids had strung fishing line from one stop sign to another. The line was secured, and the juveniles were told to knock it off.
10:46 p.m. Report of a trailer parked on the street. The owners advised they had just got to town, and planned to move it when it was light out.
Saturday, July 30
9:10 a.m. A key and a tumbler were found in an alley. The owner intended to throw them away, and the items were disposed of.
3:37 p.m. Help was provided for someone to retrieve a dog that was temporarily kenneled.
5:54 p.m. Report of a male and female subject who were walking, and the female was flashing drivers. Officer was unable to locate.
6:35 p.m. REDDI call was responded to, though the suspect vehicle was found parked and unoccupied.
7:28 p.m. Report of a lost dog, which was later found by its owner.
7:41 p.m. Caller reported issues with a person coming into his house uninvited, and wanted to know his options.
11 p.m. Report of people being loud. An officer was unable to locate the source.
11:35 p.m. Caller thought he saw a flashlight in his back yard, and thought someone might be trying to steal items. There was nobody found in the yard.
Sunday, July 31
12:02 p.m. Report of a dog that was being aggressive. The incident was referred to Animal Control.
2:26 p.m. Report of a vehicle at the fairgrounds that backed into the multipurpose building with a trailer.
6:54 p.m. Welfare check was performed on a juvenile, and everything appeared to be fine.
Monday, August 1
10:52 a.m. Report of a dog at large. The owner was contacted and warned, and already had plans to prevent further escapes.
12:43 p.m. Report of a male subject who sought medical attention, but claims he does not know who he is.
Accident
In regard to an accident July 22 in Wind River Canyon, Michael Miller was cited for reckless driving, according to Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Regina Schulmeister.
Births
Joseph David McCain was born Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Morgan McCain of Thermopolis.
He weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 17 inches long.
Grandparent is Joseph McCain of Thermopolis.
Elias Lynn Mackay was born Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Mindy and Eric Mackay of Thermopolis.
He weighed 7 pounds, .09 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.
Grandparents are Judy and David Yorgason and Lyle and Sherry Mackay, all of Wyoming.
