T.F. “Tex” Kinsey, 89, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, at the Worland Healthcare Center.
One of 12 children, Tex was born June 14, 1927, in Balko, Okla., to John LeRoy and Stella (Ballard) Kinsey. Tex served abroad in the U.S. Army in special services.
In 1953, he married Virginia Fern Lahey in Casper where the couple remained until moving to Hyattville in the 1980s. A mechanic, then foreman for the Jonah Field, he continued servicing the oil fields by establishing Kin-Tex Equipment Company.
In 2007, Tex and Fern moved to Thermopolis. His interests included hunting, fishing, hand crafting and going to auctions. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks, VFW and the American Legion.
He is survived by son, Gary (Kathy) Kinsey of Thermopolis; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Tex was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Fern.
