Register for recreation district programs

The Hot Springs County Recreation District has begun registration for youth football, youth volleyball and adult league volleyball.

Youth football registration dates are now through Aug. 8. No registration will be accepted after Aug. 15 unless registration is extended. Registration received Aug. 10-14 will be charged a late fee.

The youth football league is for first through sixth grades. Fees are $35, plus a $55 equipment deposit. The equipment deposit will be returned at the end of the season when equipment is returned and not damaged. The season will begin mid-August and last through mid-October. Practices will start the week of Aug. 22.

Players must submit a complete physical form. Attendance at a mandatory Parent Meeting at 7 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Armory is required for a child to participate.

Youth volleyball registration dates are also now through Aug. 8. No registrations will be accepted after Aug. 14. Third through sixth grade students can participate for a fee of $20. The season is from mid-August to mid-October. Attendance at a mandatory Parent Meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Armory is required before players will be placed on a team.

A Junior Bobcat Volleyball Camp will be held from 1-4 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Hot Springs County High School. Registration is at the event and fees are $10. Camp is intended for students in third through eighth grade.

The Adult Rec. League Volleyball organizational meeting will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Armory. A managers’ meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 23 also at the Armory. Rosters are due back by Aug. 19.
