Travel and Tourism budget updated

It was recently reported the draft budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2016 comes in at $220,120, though additional information provided was in regard to examples of items that have been done, such as the tourism app.

The proposed draft budget for the fiscal year 2016-2017 includes:

Revenue: Total $220,120 — $55,000 Beginning Balance, $165,000 Lodging Tax and $120 Income Interest

Expenses: Total $220,120 — $10,050 Administrative, $30,375 Billboards, $41,595 Publications, $62,295 Marketing Strategy, $7,000 Brochure, $39,620 Special Events, $12,150 Additional Budgeted Items and $17,035 Additional Media.

A public hearing regarding the budget is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. July 19, prior to the Travel and Tourism Board’s regular meeting.
