Ronald Fredrickson

Ronald Vernon Fredrickson, 69, died Sunday, June 12, 2016, at his residence in Thermopolis after a period of declining health.

The son of Vernon and Marylynn (Gilliland) Fredrickson, he was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Flint, Mich. Following graduation from Bendle High School he received a BA from Eastern Michigan University. He was employed by General Motors in Grand Blanc, Mich., as a Checking Fixture Builder in skilled trades until his retirement.

On Nov. 2, 1974, he married Lana Reavis in Flint, Mich. The couple moved to Thermopolis in 2003.

Ron was a Cub Scout Leader and Boy Scout Assistant Leader. His interests were woodworking, working with leather and carpentry. He loved his family and animals. Ron was known for his sense of humor and kindness.

He is survived by his mother, Marylynn of Burton, Mich.; wife, Lana, of 41 years of Thermopolis; sons, Alan (Jodi) of Mesa, Ariz., and Shawn Fredrickson of Burton, Mich.; sister, Patricia Gratsch of Davison, Mich.; sister-in-law, Shirley Jennings; nephew, Ladd; and nieces, Andrea, Debra and Wendy.

He was preceded in death by his father; and brother-in-law, Danny Gratsch.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
