Wyo. Quarter Horse Ranch held an auction Saturday at the fairgrounds. Horses were sold to 22 different states, with Colorado purchasing the most. Wyoming followed, and then Idaho.
The highest selling horse was a gelding from Lot 37 named NickInTheBudget. It sold for $32,000 to an individual from Colorado. The horse belonged to Woody Bartlett.
A total of 59 geldings sold for an average of $10,424, 11 two-year olds sold for an average of $4,227 and eight yearlings sold for an average $2,182.
The Top 10 average was $18,650 and the Top 20 average was $15,275.
Part-owner of the Wyo. Quarter Horse Ranch Carol Smith said the event had a good crowd and they were very pleased with the turnout.
