Bobcats win at conference

The Hot Springs County High School Bobcat golf team competed in the 2A Conference in Douglas on Friday and Saturday.

Coach Jack Smith said overall the team played well and swept the Spring Championship as well as the Cowboy Conference Championship with many golfers earning All-Conference honors. The Thermopolis Boys placed first overall.

Hudson Roling placed second overall and first in the conference. Caleb DeCroo placed fifth overall and second in the conference. Logan Bartholomew was tenth overall and fourth in conference. Eric Herold placed sixth place in the conference. Kaylee Smith placed seventh in the conference and Kristina Nading placed fourth in the conference.

"Hudson Roling's hard work this season paid off as he posted a first day score of 73 which lead the field," Smith said. "Whether it was reflection and preparation or simply the desire to get done and out of the cold, the Bobcats came out swinging on Friday and most improved their scores."

Scores for the 2A Conference in Douglas were as follows:

Kristina Nading: 130 on Day 1, 116 on Day 2 and 246 total.

Kaylee Smith: 154 on Day 1, 153 on Day 2 and 307 total.

Hudson Roling: 73 on Day 1, 80 on Day 2 and 153 total.

Caleb DeCroo: 94 on Day 1, 85 on Day 2 and 179 total.

Logan Bartholomew: 96 on Day 1, 101 on Day 2 and 197 total.

Eric Herold: 103 on Day 1, 96 on Day 2 and 199 total.

Colton Dobbins: 106 on Day 1, 113 on Day 2 and 219 total.
