Transgender bathrooms?

Transgender bathrooms are not something that most people like to talk about. In the news, we see that people are going to start bringing the law into transgender people using the bathroom. A lot of people don’t see the big deal with it. There are no laws on transgender bathroom using. But people or owners of businesses can complain because they aren’t using their actual gender bathroom.

North Carolina passed the bill for transgenders to use the bathroom you see them as. But people are saying how it makes them uncomfortable or how they don’t belong in the opposite bathroom, which is sometimes understandable. But, if you really have a problem with it, why not just go use a single stall bathroom to solve it?

 Dreama Thorpe, a junior at Hot Springs County High School, said, “People who complain about it just wanna start something. I honestly don’t see the problem about it. If it makes you uncomfortable then go somewhere where you feel comfortable. Why try to ruin someone else’s days, you wouldn’t want someone trying to ruin your day.”  A lot of people can agree with this or have different thoughts about. 

“We believe that everyone; every team member, every guest, and every community, deserves to be protected from discrimination, and treated equally,” representatives of the Target company wrote in a statement.

“Consistent with this belief, Target supports the federal Equality Act, which provides protections to LGBT individuals, and opposes action that enables discrimination.” added Target. 

People can have different feelings about this. If you are against it that is fine. It is understandable how people get uncomfortable about it. That is why some places and schools made a bathroom for transgender people to use without getting mean looks or feel uncomfortable about using bathrooms. It is amazing thing that people do these nice things for people. I hope more understand them and this topic.
