The Bobcat golf team had two events last week, including a Riverton invite and their only home invite of the season.
In Riverton, Coach Jake Smith said they only took four golfers.
"The weather was hit and miss," he said. "We were having a 45 minute storm delay. We still had a good day competing against a lot of 4A teams."
Scores were as follows for the Riverton invite: Hudson Roling – 82, Logan Bartholomew – 111, Colton Dobbins – 122 and Justin Jeffs – 122.
The Bobcats' home game on Saturday had some miscommunication and weather issues, Smith said.
"Due to a miscommunication with the state, we only had one other team that was able to show up," he said. "Lovell brought three golfers and just like Thursday, the weather was less than ideal. To make the day a little more enjoyable, the Lovell coach and I decided to randomly draw teams and play a scramble format."
Smith said a scramble is a mode of play during which each golfer hits their tee shot, then the team chooses the best shot and all team members play their second shot from there. This process continues all the way through putting out.
"Everyone had a good time and we made the best of the day," he said.
On Friday, the Bobcats will be heading to Douglas to get a look at the course that will host the Spring Championship.
