Enrollment in the Hot Springs County District schools is on the rise. In April 2015, a total of 614 students were enrolled in the district. In April 2016, enrollment numbers have soared to 658.
In over half of the grade levels, enrollment has increased. First grade enrollment increased from 40 to 48 students. Third grade enrollment has increased from 47 to 52. Fourth grade enrollment has increased from 39 to 54. Sixth grade enrollment has increased from 41 to 46. Eighth grade enrollment has increased from 53 to 64. Ninth grade enrollment has increased from 55 to 64. Eleventh grade has increased from 44 to 53. Twelfth grade has increased from 36 to 47.
Despite the overall increase in enrollment throughout the district, some decreases have been recorded in a few grade levels. Kindergarten enrollment has decreased from 48 to 45. Second grade enrollment has decreased from 47 to 42. Fifth grade enrollment has decreased from 48 to 45. Seventh grade enrollment has decreased from 62 to 46. Tenth grade enrollment has decreased from 54 to 52.
The overall enrollment in the district, however, is on the rise. Within one month, enrollment has increased by three students - from 655 in March to 658 in April.
