Doak presents 'Growing up in Thermopolis'

Joe Doak will be presenting "Growing up in Thermopolis" at the Hot Springs County Historical Society meeting Saturday, April 9. The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. at the county museum.

Doak will share stories about the good, the bad and the unique times in the 1950s and 1960s. Doaks parents, Alvie and Lillian, were the owners and proprietors of the original Sideboard Café. Doak will reminisce about his family, the Sideboard, Hill School, Round Top, ice skating on the refinery pond, school, sports and more.
