TMS wrestlers head to nationals

Thermopolis Middle School wrestlers Riley Shaffer and Logan Cole are on their way to compete at the Lee Pamulak Middle School National Dual Championship in Des Moines, Iowa March 25-27.

Shaffer and Cole competed at the Middle School State Wrestling Championship earlier in March. Cole, in the 190 lb. weight class, placed second and received an automatic invite to nationals. Shaffer, at 140, placed fourth, gaining him an invite as an alternate.

Cole will be wrestling for Team Wyoming. Shaffer will travel with team Wyoming as well but was notified Tuesday that he will be wrestling with the All-Star team.
