Brenna Michelle Rankin, 2, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at her home in Thermopolis after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 25, 2013, in Riverton, Wyo., she was the second child of Shane and Sara (Ford) Rankin. Brenna loved to sing, dance, play with her brother and dogs, watch cartoons and watch football with her dad. With her parents she attended Risen Son Southern Baptist Church and was loved by all.
She is survived by her parents; brother, Raylan; grandparents Ray and Bonnie Smith and Mickeyjean Ford, all of Thermopolis; aunts, Brenda (Charles) Bloom of Wheatland, Michelle (Russ) Ferree of Thermopolis, Marty (Kay) Dickey of Salt Lake City, Utah, Debbie Black of Worland; uncles, Daniel Ford of Thermopolis, Dick (Franny) Schneider of Titusville, Pa .; cousins, Kaylee Bloom, Mari Ford and Charly (Rob) Johnke; and special friend, Kaylee Ortiz of Dacono, Colo. The family wishes to recognize the community for all their love and support.
Brenna was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Mick Hayter and Henrietta Schneider; grandfather, Terry Ford; and cousin, Embree Grace Johnke.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 21 at the Risen Son Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Monument Hill Cemetery.
