The stage is set for the Encore Talent Show Saturday, Feb. 20 at the Hot Springs County Fair Building. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a taco bar dinner and the show starts at 6:30 p.m.
According to Tiffany Simeral, the program will feature 24 acts during the evening. Tryouts were held earlier this month and young stars will compete in four divisions: kindergarten through second grade, third grade through fifth grade, sixth grade through eighth grade, and a high school division.
The contest features $400 in prize money, $50 of which will be awarded to both the winner of the kindergarten through second grade and third grade to fifth grade divisions, $100 will be awarded to the winner of the sixth through eighth grade division and the remaining $200 will be awarded to the winner of the high school division.
Attendees should bring money to vote on their favorite act as a special “popular award” will be given to the act raising the most money in the voting.
The entry fee for the show is $10 for adults, $5 for children and $25 for a family. Donations are appreciated for dinner. All funds will go to the Risen Son school.
