Boots and Buckles Ball Saturday

The third annual Boots and Buckles Ball is set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Hot Springs County fair building.

The ball will feature a social hour starting at 5 p.m., a free dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the Thermopolis Cowboy Rendezvous PRCA Rodeo Queen coronation, an auction and dancing. The Rewinders will be in attendance to play tunes for all the dancers in the community.

All donations and proceeds from the auction will go to the rodeo queen program to keep the queen program and the rodeo a staple of Thermopolis summers.

This year’s queen is Devon Burnell, who is queen for the second year in a row. Participants in the program must take part in a competition similar to a beauty pageant in which riding skills are also taken into account. The queen will be Thermopolis’ representative at state PRCA events.

The PRCA Rodeo will take place on June 24-25..
