Volunteer firemen elect new officers

Members of the Thermopolis Volunteer Fire District have elected new officials for the coming year.

Mark Collins, who has served since 1992, was elected Chief for the 13th time. Bryce Gilbert, who has been with the group since 2011, was elected Assistant Chief.

Clint Huckfeldt, who has spent five years as a volunteer fireman, was elected Lieutenant. Cory Gilbert was elected Captain. Gilbert has been with the firemen for four and a half years.

Two members were elected to positions for the first time in their careers Tuesday.

Ryan Georgius, who has spent almost two years with the force, was elected Secretary.

Forrest Coleman-Weisz, who has been a volunteer for three and a half years, was elected to Treasurer.
