Natalya Bowen, 33, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, in Wellington, Colo. Her daughter-to-be Serenity Lynne Bowen accompanied her in passing.
Natalya was a born on November 25, 1982, in Aurora, Colo. to parents Mark and Laurie Weisgerber. She graduated valedictorian from Arvada High School in 2001 and Colorado State University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in history. She continued her life at CSU in Fort Collins as an employee where she was employed for 11 years and received University level honors for her work in the Construction Management Degree program. Natalya and Matthew wed on May 11, 2013 in Cheyenne. They were expecting to welcome their first child into this world on January 11, 2016.
Natalya was an avid cross-stitcher. She received many county fair ribbons for her pieces and shared her art freely with those she cared for. Natalya was also an avid lover of nature and felt most at peace in the mountains surrounded by those who cared for her. She also had a strong passion for music and performed in formal choirs throughout high school and college. Natalya had an infectious smile and laugher that will be sorely missed.
Natalya is survived by her husband, Matthew Bowen; parents Mark and Laurie Weisgerber; siblings Corrinna Hull, Patrick Weisgerber, and Danielle Weisgerber; grandparents William and Dorothy Straughn; as well as other relatives including in-laws from the Bowen family, Stevens family, Deeds family, Hull family, and Thompson family.
Natalya was preceded by her late fiancé James Deeds of Arvada, Colo.; her grandparents Larry and Sue Weisgerber of Arvada, Colo.; and many other extended relatives who she loved dearly.
Her services will be held Thursday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities in Arvada, Colo. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the charity closest to Natalya's heart, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
