HSCHS foods class design and market cookbooks

The Foods II class at Hot Springs County High School is putting together a cookbook. The money raised from the cookbook will be used for the class to take a field trip to Jackson Hole, where they will get to experience the world of culinary preparation and service.

The class has worked hard as a team developing the cookbook, overcoming many unique challenges group projects often face. The class has used the experience to develop a rapport with the community and hope to continue it as they sell their cookbooks.

There are a variety of different recipes throughout the book, including many old family recipes to new creations found on the Internet. Every student contributed something different for the project.

With their passion for wanting to learn how to make good food, the class hopes everyone will find something delicious within the pages of the cookbook.

The class has a goal to sell all 75 cook books before Christmas. The Foods II class will have stands set up at the Thermopolis Middle School basketball game Thursday. The students will also be selling the cookbooks at the Last Minute Santa Shopping Fair at the VFW Saturday.
