Summer series barrel racing winners honored

Mesa Allen, Brye Williams, Rylee Agar, Kaitlyn Schmuck, Bobbi Zupan, Crystal Chapel-Schmuck, Jerri Gillett and Nicole Baggs were named champions in their divisions following the final Hot Springs County Barrel Racing's 2015 Summer Series event. Rylee Agar, Taylor Agar, Katelyn King, Nicole Baggs, Laurie Johnson, Kellie Fisher and Bobbie Zupan placed second in their divisions.

Some competitors wore Halloween costumes for the event.

Barrel racers will start the winter series Sunday, Nov. 15. Exhibitions begin at 10 a.m. at the fairgrounds with competition to follow. There will be peewee, youth, senior and open barrel racing divisions along with open pole bending. The series runs through April.
