TRCC receives quality care award

Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Care Center was presented with a Nursing home Quality Award from Mountain-Pacific Quality Health during the Wyoming Health Care Association meeting held Oct. 22.

TRCC earned the award based on its outstanding performance in giving excellent care. Recipients of this award have to be in good standing with Wyoming's state survey agency, the Office of Healthcare Licensing and Survey and achieve a National Nursing Home Quality of Care Composite score of seven or lower at least seven times during 2014. The award also recognizes TRCC's strong leadership support for providing quality care.

"It is an honor to serve our community and we pride ourselves on providing the best care possible to all of our residents. Having grown up in Thermopolis, I recognize the importance of taking great care of the people who have worked their whole lives to make this community a special place," said administrator Toby Homi.

The Quality Excellence Award is the highest level of Nursing Quality Award and only two Wyoming long-term care facilities were qualified to receive this award.
