Wednesday Oct. 21
7:51 a.m. Report of a male in a black T-shirt and shorts trespassing in the Red Lane area.
1:22 p.m. Report of possible hunting from the road in an orange and red Hummer. Hunters said they were scouting for antelope.
Friday Oct. 23
12:22 p.m. Report of a trapped raccoon on a residents property. The resident was not the one who set the trap.
Sunday Oct. 25
11:27 a.m. Report of irrigation rocks stolen in the Red Lane area.
Police department
Tuesday Oct. 20
9:09 a.m. Report of someone discovering there was an attempt to gain access to their bank account. The account was blocked from who ever was trying to gain access.
12:14 p.m. Report of an oversized load of hay being transported. Responding officer determined that it was secured and strapped down properly.
1:29 p.m. A resident reported that a black lab was wandering in their yard in the 300 block of Mondell Street.
3:32 p.m. A resident was concerned there may be drug paraphernalia in their home. Police brought in the K-9 officer and searched the house. The dog was unable to find anything.
11:58 p.m. Report of a vehicle stolen from residence by a 17-year-old foster child. The juvenile was detained and charges are pending through the County Attorney’s office.
Wednesday Oct. 21
9:01 a.m. Report of medications stolen from the back of an individual’s vehicle while parked at a local motel. The hotel found the medication in a room the person had switched out of earlier.
1:12 p.m. Gloria Simmons, 72, was arrested under a Washakie County Warrant for one count of exploitation of a vulnerable adult. Simmons was extradited to Washakie County.
8:06 p.m. Report from a local restaurant of three male subjects leaving without paying. Officer located the subjects and they thought they had paid the tab. Subjects agreed to go back and pay.
Thursday Oct. 22
7:05 a.m. Reports of gun shots in the vicinity of West Sunny Side Lane were from legal hunters.
4:44 p.m. Report of a stolen vehicle. Officer found the vehicle parked across the street in parking lot. Resident had no idea how the vehicle had ended up there.
Friday Oct. 23
4:00 p.m. Vehicle with expired plates was blocking an alley way. Owners were contacted and agreed to move it.
5:47 p.m. Report of a male trying to leave his residence and a female was preventing him from doing so. An officer responded to the scene and warned both parties that if the dispute continued charges could be filed.
Saturday Oct. 24
1:24 p.m. A found checkbook was turned into the Law Enforcement Center.
Monday Oct. 26
9:51 a.m. A resident reported they were a victim of internet fraud. After being friended on Facebook by a female and exchanging correspondence, the victim sent the female $1,750 to come visit. The female never showed up. Officer investigated the Facebook page and saw no activity and informed the victim to contact the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).

Monday Oct. 19
Patrick Wurtz plead guilty for possession of a controlled substance. Wurtz is awaiting sentencing.
