Lady Cats win all three at home

Hot Springs County High School's Lady Bobcat volleyball team took on Rocky Mountain last Saturday, winning all three games, 25-25, 25-12 and 25-14. The Lady Cats, cheerleaders and crowd participated in the "pink out" in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"The girls played so well and very consistent. I was proud of how they played as a team," said coach Shannon Hill. "Our offense really stepped up and played one of the more consistent matches they have played."

During the games, Makayla George had 11 kills, Korey Smith and Mary Ryan each had 7 kills and Lizzy Lofink had 5 kills.

Maggie Ryan led the Lady Cats defense with 24 digs and setter Shaynie Baur added 3 aces and 4 kills. "Shaynie did a nice job of spreading out the sets, allowing for our hitters to make some great plays," said coach Hill.

The Lady Cats will have their last home game of the season Saturday against Riverside with 9th playing at 11 a.m., junior varsity at noon and varsity beginning at 1 p.m.
