Bobcats looking for win at Glenrock

The Hot Springs County Bobcats fell short against Lovell on Friday, 41-18.

The Bobcats, coming off a tough homecoming loss against Big Horn, were neck and neck with Lovell until the half, with both teams managing 18 points each.

The Bobcats could not keep up with their opponent in the second half, as Lovell quickly added two touchdowns, each followed by a two-point conversion.

The Bobcats struggled offensively as drives stalled and a strong Lovell defense allowed few opportunities for success in the second half.

With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 2-4, while Lovell is currently 5-1, with a 3-0 record at home.

"We played a good first half but couldn't get things rolling in the second half. Kids fought hard but didn't catch a break in the second half," said coach Rob Anderson.

The Bobcats have two games left in their season, next week at home against Glenrock and the week after against Newcastle. Regional playoffs are slated for Oct. 30.
