The Predator is back

The Hot Springs County High School newspaper, The Predator, took a break but it is back and it is ready to be part of the digital world.

High school teacher Steve Radabaugh is teaching his students the multi-faceted world of news media. The Predator is on the internet reporting the latest happenings in the world of the Bobcats.

Seventeen students from every grade in high school publish nine stories digitally a week. Students are given roughly two weeks to research, investigate and write their stories. It is published to most of the relevant social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

Freshman Kelly Johnson remarked on how it was both fun and scary to write for The Predator. She said it is scary talking to the faculty, but had fun talking to her upper classmates to compile her story. Freshman Jaxson Davis explained how journalism is his favorite class, “If I can make millions of dollars a year, I would still do this.” said Jackson. Junior Mechelle Hunt likes journalism for many different reasons. Mostly she likes to take pictures to capture the moment.
