Janet Blakesley

Janet L. Blakesley, 70, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at Hospice House in Rapid City, S. D.

Janet was born December 13, 1944, in Worland, Wyo., to William and Vivian (Duncan) Brooks. Her sister Joyce joined the family a few years later. She married Danny Rush in April of 1965 in Thermopolis, and they had two children. In May of 1995 she married Richard Blakesley. Janet worked at the Wyoming Pioneer Home for over 20 years.

She is survived by her son Curtis Rush of Thermopolis; daughter Bobbi (Sam) Wellnitz of Chadron, Neb .; granddaughter Fawn Rush; grandson Daniel Wellnitz and special friends Shirley Towers, Nina Carroll, Sandy Kimmel and Mary Nation.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband Richard; her parents; and her sister.

A celebration of Janet’s life will he held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at the VFW Hall in Thermopolis.
