Bobcats charged up after first season win

The Bobcat football team beat Wright 46-14 on Friday for their first win of the season.

The Bobcats scored on their first play of the game when quarterback Cullen Becher connected with wide receiver Dominic Jensen for a 68-yard touchdown.

Collectively the Bobcats had a stunning performance. Clemens Abbot returned an interception for a touchdown and Tyler Cornwell had five carries for 138 yards, averaging over 27 yards per carry.

The Bobcats had over 300 yards as a team and kept Wright to only two touchdowns as Eric Herold had a great defensive game at outside linebacker.

The mid-table Bobcats will face off against Burns next week. Burns is currently 0-1 in the 2A East and 0-3 overall this season, while the Bobcats are 1-1 in the division and 1-2 overall.
