Carol Ervin

Carol Anne Ervin, 71, died Friday, September 18, 2015, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital after a period of declining health.

 Born October 8, 1943, in Centralia, Wash., she was one of four children of William and Goldie (Rathbun) Canoy.  The family moved to Joplin, Mo., where Carol graduated from high school.  She earned her associate degree in hotel/motel management from Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz.

 In 1986 she married Michael J. Ervin in Rapid City, S.D.  She was employed as a cook for many years.  The couple moved from Riverton to Thermopolis in 1995.

 Carol enjoyed Wyoming scenery, camping, sewing, crafts and antiques.

Preceding her in death were her parents, brother and sister. 

Survivors include her husband of 29 years of Thermopolis; sons, Jeff Thomas, Thermopolis and Howard Thomas, Texas; daughter, Kim Little, Thermopolis; sister, Marjorie Head, Tucson, Ariz., and two grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.  No services are planned at this time.
