The Lady Bobcats opened their 2015 volleyball season at the Douglas Invitational last weekend.
Saturday the Lady Cats went 1-2 beting Lander in 3 sets. They lost to Kemmerer in 2 and also to Glenrock in 2.
According to coach Shannon Hill the team has a lot of growing to do this year but she is confident she has the right girls for the job.
"They are competitive, coachable and very athletic so I know we will just keep improving," said Hill.
Hill said the competition was tough at Douglas and the girls played tough in pool play against Jackson, but then struggled to go 0-3 during pool play.
"On Saturday we switched our defense and that seemed to help our total game," Hill added.
She said the team is strong defensively. Offensively they are going to focus on making shots and making plays.
"This is a fun team to watch because we are scrappy," said Hill.
The Lady Cats face Wind River at home Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school gym.
